Bison / Bison X

- The all new Bison cab was designed by Pininfarina and built by Caterpillar. The operator is positioned in the center of the cab which increases the visibility. The cab is remarkably quiet with the lowest level of vibration on the market. The operator’s seat guarantees a productive working environment based in ergonomic comfort and optimum support. The operator also has ample storage area to stow his belongings.
- Innovative technology
- The new joystick, designed and developed by PRINOTH, lets the operator have total control of the blade and the tiller at the same time with maximum precision and minimum effort. The onboard microprocessor display screen provides user-friendly diagnostics for both the operator and service technician. The diagnostic technology makes it possible for the operator to easily adjust the drive parameters of the vehicle.

- Often imitated but never duplicated the PRINOTH Posi-Flex tiller provides the best groomed surface available. The patented “Variable Geometry” makes even the novice grooming operator perform like a professional. The Bison X Posi-Flex tiller can be optimized with full Posi hydraulics. This enables the operator to hydraulically adjust the plane of the tiller for perfectly level take-offs and landings. The dynamic 12-way blade proves its value when moving large quantities of snow.

- When it comes to the maintenance and operating costs, the Bison operating cost remains low in spite of its high performance. The efficiency of the Rexroth drives creates economical fuel consumption. The continued use of original components will guarantee the end user longer service intervals and lower maintenance costs.

The Bison X has the best in class maneuverability as well as superior climbing capabilities. This provides the Bison X with the ability to build both the beginner terrain feature and the most extreme X-Games feature. The steepest take-offs & landings can be constructed due to the front push frames’ (blade) 127 degree range of motion. 54 degrees more than the standard Bison! Not to be out done, the rear lift frame (tiller) provides a range of motion of 151 degrees. 51 degrees more than the standard Bison.
“Joystick in Joystick” implement control system: This technology is used to execute two blade functions simultaneously by having the ability of moving the push frame (raise or tilt) and the blade (roll or angler) with the same operation by incorporating a multifunction hydraulic proportional valve system. This makes the Bison X the most efficient vehicle available when constructing and maintaining any terrain park. These performance advantages translate into greater efficiencies while lowering operating costs.
With the exclusive ability to easily change the push frame geometry, the Bison X can be as effective in creating the perfect piste as it is in building the perfect terrain park.
