Following successful negotiations, all is decided: The alpine ski runs at the Olympic Games in Beijing 2022 will be brought into top form by PRINOTH snow groomers. Thus, the company with business worldwide has revealed itself to be in the top league and will be a partner in the most important wintersports event in the world.
In order to prepare for the pistes in course of the Winter Olympics, over 50 latest generation vehicles, complete with fleet management and snow depth measuring equipment, will be employed. Thus, PRINOTH’s high-end technology will once more stand in the spotlight of top-level sport and indeed that of the Winter Olympic Championships.
Up to the end of this year, PRINOTH is supplying the first vehicles to prepare for the FIS World Cup race in Yanqing in February 2020. Prior to that, the “all round package” will be put in place and made ready in the Olympic ski resort. In coming years, PRINOTH will also introduce SNOW HOW for optimal piste conditions, the highly regarded fleet management system with Leica snow measurements. This leading software within the sector should significantly increase efficiency and economy, reduce fuel costs, and thus assist the Olympic organisers in running a trend-setting “Green Event”.
Further vehicles are projected for supply in 2021. Thus, the existing fleet will be completed with the LEITWOLF, HUSKY and BISON models, and be ready for operation in the ski races on one of the most challenging routes in Olympic history. In selecting PRINOTH, the organizers were impressed not only by the efficient performance of the engine, but also by the first-class extensions and accessories, such as the AUTOMATIC winch, the NORDIC LINER and the POWER TILLER – the best tiller in the world, according to experts.
PRINOTH’s “lineup of achievements” in major sporting events continues with the prestigious contract for Olympia 2022. The company has already been responsible for piste preparation at the Olympic Games in Lillehammer (1994), Nagano (1998), Turin (2006) and Sochi (2014). In addition, the organisers of the World Ski Championships in Åre and of the Nordic World Ski Championships in Antholz and Seefeld relied on the performance capacity and dependability of LEITWOLF & Co. And even in their Italian homeland, PRINOTH are already awaited for the next major operation. This will occur as official partner at the World Ski Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo in 2021.
