PRINOTH continues to develop its partnership with FIS

The new park machines from PRINOTH are playing an important role in the upcoming Freestyle and Snowboard World Cup season, especially the NEW BISON X. This snow grooming vehicle has been specially built to design and groom professional parks and courses and is being used to prepare for the World Cup events.

As an “Official Service Partner” of the 2015/16 FIS Freestyle and Snowboard World Cup tour, PRINOTH is contributing the latest technology and all its expertise. The partnership with the International Ski Federation FIS, which already proved a success at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships in Kreischberg in January 2015, will be taken further this coming winter and is focusing on selected events on the FIS World Cup tour, such as ski cross, snowboard cross, ski and snowboard slopestyle, and ski and snowboard half pipe competitions.

However, before this winter’s World Cup events take place, specialists will meet at the 2nd Course Builder and Designer Clinic that will take place from October 3 to 5, 2015 at PRINOTH’s headquarters in Sterzing to exchange ideas. For Uwe Beier, FIS Snowboard Race Director, working together offers a great deal of potential. He believes that PRINOTH’s professionalism and innovative technologies provide a good opportunity to set a new standard for courses and races. According to Martin Fiala, FIS Freestyle Ski Cross Race Director, gaining additional expertise is particularly important: “Continuously optimizing the courses with a focus on safety and efficiency in the construction and competition stages is a top priority for us and consequently drives the development of the sport.” Safety is also extremely important to PRINOTH. “The collaborative partnership with FIS provides a stimulating, mutual opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience. We want to pass on our expertise in park and course preparation so that the courses are built more quickly, and above all, more safely,” says Oskar Schenk, Head of Sales at PRINOTH. The workshop in October will be an important step in developing the partnership between PRINOTH and the FIS. In particular, both partners want to concentrate on training activities that will benefit FIS designers and course developers.
