The best of the best at PRINOTH X CAMP 2020

The unique trainings camp was held for the third time this year

The PRINOTH X CAMP is probably the most sought-after training programme for freestyle athletes in the pre-season, as a concentrated load of South Tyrolean know-how comes together here. With the support of the lift company, Sifas/Capitani at the Stilfserjoch Glacier, PRINOTH and F-TECH Snow Parks realise a fantastic slopestyle setup every year in September/October for athletes to prepare for the season. The world’s best freestylers, inter alia, Anna Gasser with the Austrian Freestyle Team, the Swedish team with Sven Thorgen, Yuki Kadono from Japan and local freestyle pro Markus Eder, have already been part of the event several times.

The organisers

We are proud to be actively promoting the slopestyle sport together with our partners and offering the ideal preparation for the season. Thanks to their many years of experience and state-of-the-art technology, F-TECH Snowparks are the top address for the perfect snow park. The X-vehicles by PRINOTH, which are specifically designed for park construction, are their tools of choice. Together, PRINOTH and F-TECH Snowparks form the perfect team for sophisticated park design. The Stilfser Joch, one of the most beautiful summer ski resorts in the Alps, is a reference point for international teams and offers the ideal training conditions.

Finest technology and know-how

LEITWOLF and BISON were used at the PRINOTH X CAMP- the flexible power packages can manage even the most difficult preparation work activities. 250000 cubic metres of snow were moved in around 6 days alone for the PRINOTH X CAMP. In total our team of operators was working virtually around the clock for 10 days.

In addition to the hardware, PRINOTH offers innovative digital solutions for further optimisation of the slope preparation. With technical aids, such as the satellite-based 3D snow level measurement in PRINOTH SNOW HOW, the perfect course can be imported directly to the snow groomers. For its snow measurement software, PRINOTH works together with the Swiss measurement specialist, Leica Geosystems. This way, the PRINOTH operators have an eye on all of the parameters, such as elevations, tilts and radii of landings and tables at all times, can react to changes due to use and weather and prepare accordingly. Furthermore, the daily construction progress can also be monitored, so that the deployment times of personnel and machinery is optimised.

SNOW HOW simplifies daily work of the F-TECH Snowpark shape crew enormously. Thanks to the monitors in the vehicle, which map the terrain profile exactly, the snow groomer operators are able to implement the planned obstacles and structures with centimetre precision. This way, a slopestyle course can not only be kept at the same status from the beginning until the end of the season, but it also guarantees optimum training conditions during the entire training at the same time.

The PRINOTH X CAMP was held during the period from 21.9. – 18.10.2020 in three sessions under strict hygiene conditions in the Stilfser Joch ski resort. The athletes came, inter alia, from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Croatia, Belgium and France, in order to measure up against one another on the glacier and exchange experiences.
