The world’s cleanest fleet makes its debut at Lenzerheide
A world premiere for PRINOTH – Shaping the Future
This winter, PRINOTH is presenting its new generation of snow groomers with the NEW HUSKY, NEW BISON X, and LEITWOLF models. This fleet is the first and only one in the world to meet the stringent “Stage IV/Tier 4 final” emissions standard, thus setting new benchmarks in terms of sustainability and efficiency. That alone is enough to make this a very special debut. For the first time, PRINOTH is presenting its entire fleet live on the snow and putting on an impressive show. On March 2 and 3, these state-of-the-art snow grooming vehicles made a guest appearance right in the heart of the Arosa Lenzerheide ski resort.
Under the slogan “Shaping the Future,” PRINOTH showcased the perfect combination of innovative technologies, cutting-edge design, and uncompromising efficiency and sustainability as it presented its new top models together on snow for the first time at theArosa Lenzerheide ski resort. A high-tech show gave the guests attending this premiere event a vivid impression of the important role played by innovation, technology, and sustainability in developing these snow groomers. Selected customers and media representatives thus had the chance to witness the latest generation of PRINOTH snow groomer vehicles live in action and see just what the world’s cleanest fleet can do. The Arosa Lenzerheide ski resort in the Swiss canton of Grisons is the perfect place for this, not only because emissions standards in Switzerland are particularly stringent, but also because sustainability is something the ski resort considers particularly important. “For Arosa Lenzerheide, the terms ‘environmentally friendly,’ ‘sustainable,’ and ‘authentic’ are not just buzzwords. They have been an integral part of our corporate strategy for years. That was one of the reasons why we opted for snow groomers from PRINOTH,” explains Peter Engler, CEO of Arosa Lenzerheide Bergbahnen AG.
While the program for the first day focused on presenting the snow groomers, staging the show, and offering individual fleet viewings, on the second day guests were given the opportunity to experience all the advantages offered by the state-of-the-art models during test drives on the snow.
Maximum performance with the lowest possible emissions
It is no coincidence that the PRINOTH fleet is making such a grand debut. Snow groomers have never been so efficient and yet so environmentally friendly. “Our new generation of snow groomers comes with state-of-the-art drive technology that meets the strict requirements of the “Stage IV/Tier 4 final” exhaust emissions standard, making these vehicles technological trailblazers in terms of sustainability. The combination of outstanding performance and high-tech solutions with extremely low fuel consumption is particularly impressive,” says a delighted Werner Amort, President of PRINOTH. With their optimized pushing performance, extraordinary power, and ergonomic comfort in the driver’s cab, they offer a comfortable workstation that can take peak performance to a whole new level. A standardized control system implemented across the entire fleet also ensures greater efficiency and optimal workflows.
High-tech solution for slopes, parks, and tracks
The legendary LEITWOLF, a popular model by PRINOTH, features impressive cutting-edge technology on every level and offers a further 80 percent reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions. With its six-cylinder diesel engine, capable of producing 390 kW/530 hp and torque of 2,460 Nm, it generates more power and pushing performance than any other snow groomer. Thanks to its 14.8-foot (4.5 m) track width, it also delivers the highest grooming performance in its class. The POWER tiller with its parallel offset, the first of its kind in the world, ensures perfect slope quality.
The NEW BISON is guaranteed to impress with its exceptional thrust, excellent maneuverability, unrestricted vision, and optimum comfort. Its powerful diesel engine, which is equipped with a particle filter and has an output of 298 kW/406 hp, guarantees maximum performance while generating 90 percent fewer nitrogen oxide emissions and soot particles than its predecessor. Developed by professionals, the NEW BISON X styles any park to absolute perfection.
The NEW HUSKY, which offers a 90 percent reduction in exhaust emissions, is yet another prime example of how to balance maximum performance with environmental requirements. With an output of 170 kW/231 hp, it can be used for cross-country trails and snowmobile tracks as well as for small pistes, ski jumps, ski lift tracks, and toboggan runs. It is also the perfect snow grooming vehicle for indoor ski slopes and transport work on rough terrain and in areas with little snow.
