Partnership with F-TECH

PRINOTH has further expanded its snowpark expertise

The partnership with the South Tyrol-based park construction professionals from F-TECH is a clear reflection of mutual growth. The start of this cooperation coincides with an international event – “Legends”, Italy's first FIS Slopestyle World Cup event, which will be held at Alpe di Siusi from January 23 to 28, 2017. The two companies are joining forces to hone the contest setup, as the top-level athletes will be aiming high.

The decisive elements at a snowpark are not the wind and the weather, but tables and obstacles. These are not created by the whims of a weather god, but are the result of meticulous planning by specialists equipped with years of experience and cutting-edge advanced technology. Modern measuring technology, 3D planning, resource-optimized park construction with remote control at the headquarters, and daily park maintenance with software support – this range of services currently represents the gold standard in park construction. F-TECH boasts a similarly long list of references, including a dozen snowparks in South Tyrol and a large number of contests.

With so much combined expertise, the latest PRINOTH park fleet is not far off. As the official snow grooming supplier at the World Cup event being held at Alpe di Siusi, PRINOTH will be deploying both the NEW BISON X and the brand new LEITWOLF X. The partnership with F-TECH ensures that additional joint projects in Europe will be added to the calendar in the future.

Alex Berger, CEO of F-TECH: “For us, this partnership also represents an endorsement of our professional work. It offers us opportunities to take on special projects, special obstacles, and shoots – and to work together in making them a reality. The snow groomers from PRINOTH have enabled us to optimize our service.”

Snowparks have become an important success factor for many ski areas, with the partnership between PRINOTH and F-TECH making it possible to synergize and optimize the services provided to winter sports resorts. The customer benefit for ski area operators is realized in cost planning and resource management, as demonstrated by the application of the new technology in snow measurement – it also makes park construction considerably more efficient.

Alex Berger reviews the benefits: “The combination of the products from PRINOTH and Leica Geosystems enables us to optimize our activities on the customer premises in the ski area. Although our precise 3D planning of snowparks and special obstacles generates a significant amount of additional work at the planning stage, it enables us to save our 3D plans directly to the vehicles. This makes it possible for the snow groomer drivers to work independently when preparing the tables in the ski area. The construction progress can be monitored from the office, enabling us to assign our construction supervisors with greater precision and shortening the operating times during the construction process in the ski area.”

In terms of park maintenance, the tool once again generates economic benefits and also boosts the level of safety in the park – which is particularly significant. Alex Berger: “With regard to the daily maintenance of the structures, this technology offers an important safety aspect. It makes it possible to retain their precise shape, meaning that even the inclines are kept under control. This also provides an economic benefit, with the precision planning of the snow volumes saving time during the season and beyond.”
