PRINOTH GmbH is among 23 companies who were recently awarded as outstanding in employee volunteering by the Interior Ministry of Baden-Württemberg. Along with the Voluntary Fire Service of Herdwangen-Schönach, PRINOTH also supports the local sports club as sponsor.
Not many employers support their employees in voluntary work. Therefore the Interior Ministry of Baden-Württemberg regularly honours employers who give their employees the possibility of combining a job and a voluntary position under one hat. PRINOTH GmbH of Herdwangen is now delighted to receive this honour. “Behind the nomination for this honour lies the engagement of our contented employers. This makes us very proud,” explains Kai Fetscher, member of the management team at PRINOTH in Herdwangen. The engineering company was proposed by the Commander of the Fire Service of Herdwangen-Schönach, Hubert Specker, who has worked for PRINOTH for 15 years. When, during the spring, the competition tender from the interior ministry landed in his letter box, he at once saw clearly that he wanted to give something in return to his employer. “Whether this was some sort of service or just a period of work in the town hall, I have always experienced the fullest understanding and support on the part of the company for my activity as commander,” said Specker. The award was presented by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for the Interior, Digitisation and Migration, Thomas Strobl. Among the current nearly 100 employers at PRINOTH in Herdwangen, there are not only seven firemen, but also further volunteers active in sport, shooting and clowning associations. The award is conferred for a period of five years and may be extended if conditions remain fulfilled.
