Sun Valley Resort acquires first PRINOTH LEITWOLF Tier 4 Final groomers in North America
Sun Valley Resort took delivery today of the first two PRINOTH LEITWOLF snow groomers equipped with an EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) Tier 4 final engine, the cleanest engine technology in North America. Voted #1 in Grooming in the 2016 SKI Magazine annual readers’ poll, acquiring two of the PRINOTH LEITWOLF snow groomers reinforces the resort’s dedication to exceptional grooming and snowmaking.

Thanks to their wide track width, they provide the highest grooming performance in their class. The large track working surface also gives the LEITWOLF an extraordinary climbing ability. You can prepare larger areas in a shorter period of time, saving time as well as fuel,’’ stated Peter Stearns, Sun Valley’s director of mountain operations.
The standardized instrumentation used across the entire fleet further contributes to the vehicles’ outstanding performance on the slopes and ensures maximum efficiency. The LEITWOLF’s unique hydraulic suspension/active undercarriage allows the operator to reduce the track working surface making the vehicle extremely nimble or increasing it to maximize the climbing ability, all at the touch of a button. Among other things, this also means that very little time and effort is needed for drivers to adjust to the vehicles.
“The new LEITWOLF offers more engine power and higher torque, while reducing exhaust emissions by more than 90%,” said PRINOTH North America’s director of snow grooming, Dave Hunter. “It saves you time and money, along with having reduced emissions.
