PRINOTH ensures that the pistes are in perfect condition in Ischgl and Samnaun
In what looks to be a very promising partnership, Ischgl, one of the world’s best and most successful ski areas, is placing its trust in snow grooming vehicles from PRINOTH. When it comes to preparing the ski slopes, Silvrettaseilbahn AG has opted for LEITWOLF snow groomers, which combine technological innovation, flawless functionality and the best grooming performance in their class to provide the perfect pistes. One of the decisive factors that stood in PRINOTH’s favor as a potential partner is its consistently customer-oriented approach, along with its service and spare parts center in Telfs.
With 238 kilometers of slopes, 45 lift systems, and 1,100 snow machines, the Silvretta Arena near Ischgl is one of the world’s leading ski resorts. To ensure that it can offer guests a top-quality experience on the slopes, Silvrettaseilbahn AG relies on state-of-the-art technology. The company’s acquisition of ten LEITWOLF snow grooming vehicles, divided between the Ischgl and Samnaun resorts, marks the start of a very promising partnership with PRINOTH.
"We chose the LEITWOLF because of the excellent tilling technology. With the POWER tiller we clearly achieve the best slope results," states Dipl. Ing Markus Walser, CEO of Silvrettaseilbahn AG on the new acquisitions. PRINOTH President Werner Amort see this collaboration as valuable proof that investing in a combination of high-tech equipment and tailored services will safeguard the future of both partners: “These days, ski resorts have to meet high standards – and not just with regard to slope preparation, but in terms of cost-effectiveness and sustainability too. These requirements play a key role at PRINOTH, from product development right through to the after-sales service.”
Optimal performance with maximum track width and thrust
The LEITWOLF combines performance and cost efficiency at the highest level. Its 510 hp diesel engine provides maximum thrust in all conditions and its 4.5 meter track width exceeds comparable models by 294 millimeters. A higher tiller width also enables the LEITWOLF to deliver the best grooming performance in its class, as well as giving it exceptional climbing ability. This means that it can prepare a greater surface area in a shorter time, thus saving a significant amount of fuel. The POWER tiller, with its unique parallel offset, ensures that slopes are prepared to optimum effect, while the AUTOMATIC winch with 4.5 tons of pulling force guarantees neutral handling thanks to its low winch pivot point. However, PRINOTH does not just offer state-of-the-art technology – it also provides top-quality services. To ensure that its snow groomers can be used as efficiently as possible,
PRINOTH has developed the analysis and consultancy concept SNOW HOW. A mix of software solutions and tailored consulting services – right through to individual driver training on the customer’s premises – maximizes performance while keeping operating costs low.
The PRINOTH site in Telfs ensures optimal proximity to the customer
One important factor for the success of the partnership between Silvrettaseilbahn AG and PRINOTH is the proximity of PRINOTH’s service and spare parts center in Telfs, which is where spare parts are stored and snow grooming vehicles go to be overhauled. To provide customers in the ski resorts with the best possible service, the spare parts warehouse remains open through virtually the entire winter season. The on-call and pick-up services ensure that spare parts can be supplied at any time. Customers can also come and collect any spare parts they need urgently directly if they order them in advance. Up to 100 used vehicles are overhauled at the center each year before being sent out again to various ski areas. PRINOTH service technicians take care of more than 1,200 snow groomers in Austria and its neighboring countries, and this proximity to the customer pays off. The site in Telfs is continuously being expanded, with the LEITNER GROUP – of which PRINOTH is a part – having invested around 30 million euro in it to date.
