As part of the Austrian EU Presidency, the European Trade and Economic Ministers visited Innsbruck. Tirol welcomed the EU Economic and Trade Ministers in the evening with a lot of tradition – traditional military demonstration, bands and flags - in the Maria-Theresienstraße in Innsbruck.
In addition to Tyrolian Governor Günther Platter, EU Commissioner Cecilia Malmström, Federal Minister Margarete Schramböck and Economic Affairs Councilor Patrizia Zoller-Frischauf, many other political representatives also took part in the ceremonial reception. A historic tram then took the ministers to the streetcar train station.
Among other things, 16 product-exporting companies from Tyrol and South Tyrol presented their products and services. Including LEITNER ropeways and PRINOTH.
Governor Günther Platter praised the many impressive Tyrolean companies. They rely on excellent know-how and many years of experience as well as on the flexible adaptation to changing conditions on the market and are also, in terms of digitization, on the pulse of the time, said the Governor. Tyrol's export figures bear witness to the innovative strength and competitiveness that has risen by more than twenty percent in the last ten years.
