ÖSV & PRINOTH Start Area

Premiere at the World Cup Opening in Sölden

What once started with the idea of a mobile kitchen mounted on a snow groomer has now evolved in a concept supporting top-level sport events: the success of the former “SNOWLICIOUS” in alpine use made it the best choice for the Ski World Cup opening in Sölden. The PRINOTH snow groomer, connected to a tent, was set for a completely new purpose: the well-being of the athletes. In the new "ÖSV & PRINOTH Start Area", together with the supervisor and trainer teams, athletes found the opportunity to prepare for their run. In addition, drinks and small snacks were served, racing equipment was stored and skis were prepared. At the same time, the teams were able to watch the race thanks to a big TV screen and thus remain "up to date" right until the start of the race.

The "ÖSV & PRINOTH Start Area" provided a marked professionalization of the starting area of Alpine Ski World Cup races and the optimal support of the athletes, who benefited from the new setting. The concept will also be used in other World Cup races organized by the ÖSV, such as the Night Race in Schladming.

Rupert Steger (ÖSV Eventmarketing): "From the organizer's point of view we have a great start into the Alpine FIS World Cup season 2019/20 in Sölden behind us. At the same time it was a perfect platform for the start of the cooperation between PRINOTH and ÖSV. The PRINOTH Gourmet Truck was used for the first time for the redesign of the "ÖSV & PRINOTH Start Area" at an altitude of 3000 m above sea level. With this joint project, we were able to give our events a new, innovative boost in terms of improving quality. The additional service offered, has already been very well received by athletes, coaches and service people in Sölden. We are pleased to be able to jointly implement the "ÖSV & PRINOTH Start Area" - with the exception of Kitzbühel - within the framework of all Alpine FIS World Cup events in Austria in the future."
